How PhonePakka’s 38 Device Checks Work
PhonePakka is an independent, free browser tool with 38 device results across 21 stages. Some checks observe browser events or sensor data. Others ask the buyer to confirm what they see, hear or feel. The report keeps those evidence types separate.
Three kinds of evidence
- Browser observed: a limited observation, such as touch input, an exposed volume-key event, location estimate or charging-state change. Read the result detail to understand exactly what was observed.
- Buyer confirmed: the person using the phone inspected or tried a feature and recorded the result. This is not independent certification.
- Screenshot read: text was extracted and compared. File-date and reuse checks are safeguards, not proof of authenticity.
What is automated?
Where supported, the tool receives touch and motion events, requests a fresh network response, attempts a Bluetooth LE connection, opens exposed camera inputs, captures a local test video and watches charging state. Browser permissions and device support determine availability. Camera frames do not establish optical quality. A volume-key event does not independently establish its physical source or audible sound level.

How results affect the verdict
Reported faults and unresolved evidence can produce warnings. Missing, unsupported or skipped checks remain unverified and do not count as passes. A satisfactory result means only that the recorded checks looked satisfactory at that time.
What the report cannot certify
PhonePakka does not certify ownership, genuine parts, waterproofing, financial obligations, universal activation-lock status or future reliability. Browser location is not an isolated GPS hardware test. A shared link is a self-contained, editable summary; it is not a signed or permanent cloud certificate.
Independence
PhonePakka is not affiliated with any phone manufacturer or the Government of India. Official IMEI checks are performed through Sanchar Saathi, and device settings should be checked directly when the browser cannot expose a feature.
