How to Check a Phone’s IMEI in India
Use the official Sanchar Saathi IMEI verification page to check the number shown on the actual phone. PhonePakka helps you compare that number with the official response; it does not run its own government blacklist lookup.
Find the number on the phone
Open the dialler and enter *#06#, or find IMEI in the device’s About settings. A dual-SIM phone can have more than one IMEI. Match the exact number being checked and repeat the official verification for each number you need to assess.
Complete the official check yourself
Open Sanchar Saathi directly and follow the current form. It may request a mobile number, CAPTCHA and OTP. Enter an OTP only on the official service; do not share it with the seller or enter it into PhonePakka.

Compare the live response
Check that the reply relates to the same IMEI and compare any model or device details it shows. If a warning appears, the device details differ or the response is unclear, resolve that with the official service before relying on it. A clean response is not a guarantee of legal ownership or future condition.
What does PhonePakka verify?
PhonePakka can check IMEI number format and compare text extracted from screenshots. It asks for new screenshots during the current session and checks available file dates and recognised reused images on the same browser. Dates and image contents can be altered. These checks do not authenticate an image or establish a live government result.
Keep identifiers private
Do not post full IMEIs, invoices or OTPs publicly. PhonePakka masks the IMEI in its generated report summary, but you should still review any report or PDF before sharing it.
